POS Software Price in Pakistan (2026): What a Small Shop Actually Pays

POS Software Price in Pakistan (2026): What a Small Shop Actually Pays

Ask three POS vendors in Pakistan for a price and you get three answers that are hard to compare: one quotes per month, one per year, one a "package" with hardware. This post lays the numbers side by side so you can compare them the way a shop owner should, by what you pay over the life of the counter.

The three ways POS software is priced here

Monthly subscription. Most cloud POS products in Pakistan sit between PKR 2,500 and PKR 4,500 a month for one shop with inventory and reports; enterprise plans go past PKR 10,000 a month. You pay for as long as you sell, and most of them need internet to work properly.

Yearly licence. Some vendors charge a yearly fee, roughly PKR 25,000 to 40,000, that includes updates and support. Stop paying and the software usually stops too.

One-time licence. You buy the software once for one PC. Offline POS products in this group are typically PKR 20,000 to 25,000 per terminal, sometimes with an optional yearly updates fee.

There are also free POS apps. They are fine for a very small counter, but read the fine print on data ownership, ads, and what happens when you need support.

What the price usually does not include

  • Hardware. An 80 mm thermal receipt printer is PKR 12,000 to 35,000, a USB barcode scanner PKR 5,000 to 20,000, a cash drawer PKR 8,000 to 20,000. A complete touch terminal bundle runs PKR 120,000 to 180,000; a sensible kiryana setup on a PC you already own is closer to PKR 25,000 to 40,000 in peripherals.
  • Setup and training. Some vendors include it, many charge PKR 3,000 to 10,000, some resellers bundle it into the hardware price.
  • Extra counters. A second till is almost always a second licence.
  • Cloud backup or multi-branch sync. Usually a separate monthly line.

Ask every vendor for the total of these four lines, not just the software number.

Subscription vs one-time, over three years

One counter, one shop:

Subscription (PKR 2,500 a month)One-time licence (PKR 20,000)
Year 130,00020,000
Year 230,0000
Year 330,0000
3-year total90,00020,000

The subscription is cheaper in month one and more expensive by month nine. That is not a reason to always choose one-time; a subscription makes sense if you need the vendor to host your data and you change PCs often. But it is the arithmetic most shop owners never see written down.

The question that matters more than price

Load-shedding, a cut fibre line, a hotspot that runs out: in most of Pakistan the counter loses internet a few times a week. A cloud POS either stops or runs in a limited "offline mode" that queues sales and sometimes loses them. An offline-first POS keeps the database on the PC and uses the internet only for optional things like backup.

Before you buy anything, ask the vendor to demo it with the Wi-Fi turned off. If they cannot, the monthly price does not matter.

What Till9 costs

For comparison, here is our own pricing, with nothing hidden. Every plan runs fully offline on Windows 10 or 11.

  • Free: PKR 0, forever. One PC, one user, up to 100 products, 100 customers and 50 sales a day, reports for the last 7 days. The first 14 days after install open every feature so you can try the whole thing.
  • Economy: PKR 20,000 one-time. One PC, three users, 2,000 products, unlimited sales and customers, every report, CSV export, stock counts, barcode labels, loyalty points and customer groups. A year of updates included; the software keeps working after that either way.
  • Business: PKR 35,000 a year. Up to three PCs, ten users, no caps, plus encrypted cloud backup and priority support.

Internationally the same plans are USD 99 one-time and USD 199 a year. Checkout is cash-first today; card and wallet recording comes in a later update, and we never take a percentage of your sales. Full details and the free download: najeebmedia.com/pos.

Checklist before you pay anyone

  1. Demo it with the internet off.
  2. Ask where the database lives and how you get your data out.
  3. Total the software, hardware, setup and the second counter.
  4. Ask what stops working if you stop paying.
  5. Ask who answers at 9 pm on a Saturday when the printer will not print.

Market ranges above were checked in October 2026 against public price lists of Pakistani POS vendors and hardware shops. Prices move; treat the ranges as a guide and confirm with the vendor.
